After twenty years of experience in international education, the Consortium for Global Education (CGE) has merged expertise in overseas experience, educational methodology, content theory, cultural awareness, and English teaching practices into TWO introductory courses for Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). As competition continues to grow in every sector for English speaking expertise, CGE commits to being at the forefront of establishing standards for establishing and maintaining skills in teaching English. CGE member universities and colleges provide degree programs and well designed courses for gaining excellence in ESL, TEFL, and TESOL. These TWO introductory courses are provided for learners who are teaching or want to teach English in some format in the USA and overseas. TEFL USA 1 addresses the TEFL needs for those who will be teaching on short term projects or in non-contractual settings and want to gain English teaching expertise. TEFL Global 1 addresses the TEFL needs for contracted English teachers, primarily in non-native English speaking nations, who want to increase their English teaching competency. TEFL Certificate Courses
Teaching English as a Foreign Language USA 1 is offered if you are:
- interested in teaching English here in the USA – the TEFL USA 1 course is for you!
- going overseas to participate in a program for teaching English to non-native English speakers – this course is perfect for you!
- participating in a project for teaching English for Special Purposes with content of business, medical, history, science, law etc. – this course is designed especially for you!!
- interested in participating in events with speakers of English as a second language – the TEFL USA 1 course will give you confidence!
COST for the course including all lessons, access to CGEWorld website, resources, individual instructor feedback, and certificate is only $195 U.S. Dollars.
USA 1 is a one course series for earning a Certificate for Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Lessons included in Teaching English as a Foreign Language USA 1: (from 50 classroom equivalency hours)

Teaching English as a Foreign Language Global 1 is offered if you are:
- currently contracted to teach English in a non-native English speaking country and want to strengthen your English skills and methods – this course will develop your professional skills!
- teaching English in a non-native English speaking country and want to increase your own classroom skills – you will become a stronger classroom communicator and manager for ESL learning!!
- volunteering as an English teacher overseas and want practical help – this course will give you ideas, concepts, foundations, and confidence for becoming an expert ESL teacher!
- living and working overseas and are teaching in English for any content area and understand that culture makes a big impact on your success – this class will help you become a cross-cultural communicator!

Global 1 is a comprehensive course standard series for earning a globally-based Certificate for Teachers of English as a Foreign Language. Lessons included in Teaching English as a Foreign Language Global 1: (50 classroom equivalency hours)
